A most amazing concept was that of the Aramaic Jesus when he said “Call forth Light from the dark within you.” He never said “be born again” by some trick of theology. The work of birthing a new self is my responsibility. I do that by making a conscious choice to BE different than I have been. I choose Light instead of the dark. I choose empathy instead of victim energy. I choose compassion instead of judgments. Jesus taught Original Divinity, not original sin. Proof? He said that The Light within us (our Divinity) is the essence of who we are. You won’t find that in the English, because the patriarchs don’t want you to know the power of who you truly are. Religion will never teach you to claim your Divine Self. It (they) want to control you through fear. Our Shadow Self is covering our Light. You can be more Light than Shadow. Divine Within

Being naked and being intimate are not necessarily the same. In fact, how many times have we been naked without being vulnerable? It requires more than clothing to hide our “shame.” Intimacy is beyond just the physical.

Where are the men who are tough enough to love or tough enough to allow their true self to be seen?
Where do we hide our true self?
When we learn that there is nothing to hide, we are truly free to be intimate, open and vulnerable in ways that create real strength, vitality, and community.

It is our shadows that we fear, when in reality, our shadows are part of our beauty. They are presenting us with the opportunity to see the Light of our Divinity just behind what we fear.

When divers freed this whale from ropes that entangled it and threatened its life, it was a beautiful example of creating a win-win for all. In this world of competition and battle, how can we create win-win scenarios for each other? We need each other. We also have “needs” to be met: love, inclusion, worth, contribution to others’ well being, community, nurturing and so much more. Free yourself from the cage of religion! Once you know how all the fabrications were invented, you are free indeed. Why do our own shadows reveal in all that we see around us? Why are others but a mirror for ourselves to see who we are? What I can’t see in myself is always on my “radar screen” when I look at others and prevents me from seeing them just as they are! When I am able to look at my mistakes, own them, understand why I did what I did, choose to transform my shadow self, and choose to see others without my baggage, only then do I see who is around me. Some wisdom from Rumi– The Armor of Selflessness– If you put on the armor of a warrior, yet are unable to defend yourself, you’ll die. Make your soul a shield, bear what God sends you, put down the sword. Whoever is headless saves his head; the selfless cannot be struck. Those weapons are your selfish strategy, the defense that woulds your own soul.

Talk about a tough one to learn! Oh, well, maybe this time I have. The gifts that come to us from absorbing, integrating and “being with” are more valuable than “getting even.”
